Can You Name The Disney Artist Who Created
This Piece of Concept Art for The Lion King?
It's artwork from a postcard in Chronicle Book's "The Art of Disney. The Renaissance and Beyond".
The box includes 100 postcards from 10 different Disney films of the modern era. It
makes sense that artists might go uncredited sometimes when you are looking at artwork from older films because information would get lost in the days before the modern The Disney Archives.
The great mystery is that Chronicle Books is able to credit EVERY other artist in the ones from The Lion King. The entire set is concept art by different Visual Development artists with the exception of one screenshot card. There is artwork by Joe Grant, Lorna Cook, Doug Bell, Andreas Deja, Bob Smith, Vance Gerry, and 2 pieces by Michael Surrey. The craziest thing is that the artist information for the one Simba postcard seems to be missing
